FAQ
Here are our customers' most frequent concerns.
Yes, all combinations can be tested in our showroom. We are also happy to make these combinations available for testing at home. Especially for custom-made products and sleeping pads for use at home, we recommend test nights instead of test minutes.
Standard products, such as ClickMat or RoofTop, can only be tested in our showroom, but not overnight.
As long as it's a mattress – Yes! We are happy to donate usable mattresses to aid projects, such as "Humanosh – Help for Ukraine". All others are recycled in cooperation with the Mattress Alliance.
Yes, we always sew in a zipper. The covers are washable at 30°
This can vary seasonally. Normally, however, production time never exceeds 2 weeks. For special cover fabrics or externally manufactured fitted sheets and toppers, the delivery time can be 4 – 6 weeks.
No, this is only possible in the case of a qualitative defect or faulty production. A mattress is a hygiene product that is no longer new after use. Therefore, we recommend our test sleep offer for custom-made products. For standard products, you are welcome to visit our showroom.
That would be good, right? Therefore: YES! If not: Please contact us, there must be an error. We will endeavor to find it.
We are not marketing experts, but our logo is always on the top. If you have a mattress in a uniform cover (top and bottom identical), the interior will tell you what's right:
1. Do not lie on the slatted side, it's too hard (applies to MyLit products)
2. The lightest layer is always on top, unless you have chosen a very specific configuration.
Yes, of course. The standard heights for leisure beds are 5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 18 / 20 cm. You can tell us what's best for you.
In Switzerland
fanello beds are still produced exclusively in Fahrwangen, Aargau, on Lake Hallwil. Most of the materials are also sourced from Switzerland.
The choice is yours
Compared to any foam, latex is more flexible and has better point elasticity. However, we have included Evopore polyurethane foam in our range because it is also very well suited for beds and mattresses in vehicles, as it is about one third lighter than natural latex. In addition, with Evopore, we have found a foam that comes very close to latex in terms of its properties.
Based on our experience, latex works better in combination with a flexible base. Therefore, where there is no support element or a soft seating surface, the recommendation tends to be for Evopore foam.
Just because everyone is talking about it doesn't mean it's good...
After the foaming process, cold foam has approx. 90% closed pores (cells). In addition, unlike standard foam, it cannot tolerate high humidity or high temperatures, unless complex and expensive formulations are used.
Since fanello develops bed systems for travel, such a foam would not be suitable for our ideas. After all, you never know where your journey will take you. Since you often lie quite close to the foam, it is very important that it is breathable. Evopor, as well as latex, absorbs moisture and releases it again. With the polyurethane foam called Evopor, we have a very breathable and temperature-independent alternative to cold foam, which we will continue to use in the future.
Temperature should not affect sleep comfort.
Various testers have confirmed that at temperatures below approximately 16° Celsius, a visco mattress becomes as hard as a board, and it takes a very long time for body heat to bring the foam to the desired conformity. For this reason, we recommend against using visco foam as a mattress topper for outdoor use, as it often does not produce the desired effect and can even worsen comfort. We use temperature-independent materials such as latex and Evopore.
Different features, different name
The conventional slatted frame usually "only" serves as under-ventilation. Our support element clearly takes on more responsibility.
The fanello slats were developed primarily for additional ergonomics and to increase sleeping comfort. With its longitudinal latex strips, a fanello slatted frame thus guarantees perfect support, as well as adaptation to the contours of the body.
However, we won't be mad at you if you accidentally call our support elements slatted frames..
